I'm dr. Ruben Becker
I work as Interim CFO, M&A consultant and valuation analyst.
ABOUT
I was born in Bad Segeberg and grew up in Hundsangen, which is marvelous village between Frankfurt and Cologne. I studied “German and European Business Law” at the University of Siegen, Mykolas-Romeris-University Vilnius, London School of Economics and Political Science and Swiss Business School Zurich. I earned my PhD from University of Siegen in 2015. My dissertation was about earn-out clauses.
I started my career 2011 with KPMG in Zurich. 2013 I co-founded as CFO | COO an international media agency with offices in Berlin, New York, London, Singapore and Jakarta. As of 2022 I work full time as Interim CFO, M&A consultant and valuation analyst.
In 2024 I passed the CVA (Certified-Valuation-Analyst) exam. This is an internationally recognised certification in the field of corporate valuation
SERVICES
Interim CFO
Stepping in to manage financial strategies, oversee accounting functions and provide strategic financial guidance. I have a hands-on approach and I am also helping in special situation e.g. restructuring or in cases of unforeseen lack of human resources.
M&A
Covering the whole M&A deal cycle from strategic planning and target identification, investment readiness support, due diligence, deal structuring to PMI. and Project Management.
Valuation
Doing corporate valuation expert options (NACVA or IDW S1 standard) as well as indicative valuations and validation of valuations. I have very deep expert knowledge in the areas tech, media, advertising and e-commerce.
Capital Raise
Providing financial and structuring advice in connection with capital raises, including (venture) debt, equity and hybrid capital. Identifying alternative sources of growth capital assisting with approaching investors, creating pitch and investment presentations, deal structuring and overall project management.
